A NEW school bank has been launched at Parkside Middle School in a bid to teach the pupils life skills about how to handle money and become financially responsible.
The venture, set up in conjunction with HSBC, has seen year eight students tasked with running the bank.
Those involved had to complete job applications and undergo nerve-wracking interviews to secure their positions.
The bank is ran in teams of four – consisting of a bank manager, marketing manager, cashier and records officer.
It operates every Tuesday lunchtime and Mrs Lowe, who works with HSBC, will be on hand each week to offer support and to ensure smooth running of the business.
