Rubery police to hold free bike marking event

Bromsgrove Editorial 21st Feb, 2016 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016   0

RUBERY Police are holding a free bike marking event in a bid to cut down on the number of pedal cycles being stolen throughout the spring and summer.

During 2015 more than 200 pedal cycles were stolen during theft and burglary offences. Unfortunately many of them were left in secure.

The bike marking session will be held from 1pm to 5pm on Friday (March 4).

If bikes are stolen and then found, officers will be able to reunite them with their owners.

There will also be crime prevention advice and the chance to meet for residents to meet their Safer Neighbourhood Team.
