MEMBERS of Rubery Drama Group are planning to bowl over audiences with cricket-themed comedy Outside Edge which they will be staging at the end of this month.
The Richard Harris play will be performed at Beacon Church Centre, Whetty Lane, from Thursday (April 30) to Saturday (May 2).
It centres around Roger who has trouble assembling his cricket team to play against the British Railways Maintenance Division Yealding East.
But, that is the least of his worries – as even bigger issues arise, surrounding the wives and girlfriends.
Even Roger’s wife, champion tea-maker Miriam rebels against his authority and uncovers his unfortunate peccadillo in Dorking.
