YOUNGSTERS from Playdays Playgroup and the Plus 2s group at St Stephens Church in Rednal did their bit for Macmillan Cancer Support by holding their own coffee morning-themed event.
The youngsters and their friends have been decorating tea pots, cupcakes and teddy bears’ picnic cut-outs all week.
And they came together on Wednesday (September 23) for a joint tea party where parents and carers could relax and chat over coffee, tea and cake whilst their youngsters played.
The cakes were sold to students from Victoria’s School of Dance and Performing Arts, which are also based at St Stephens.
Speaking ahead of counting the coffers, Playdays leader Julie Kite-Lightfoot said: “Hopefully we have raised lots of money for this very worthy cause.”
