Rednal nursery children put harvest food on table

CHILDREN at My First Friends nursery had plenty of food to put on the harvest table for their special celebrations this year.

All the food collected by the children, aged three and over, has been donated to the residents at Meadow Nursing Home, on Birmingham Road.

As an added bonus to celebrate the event, the pre-schoolers also put on a spectacular show for some if the residents too.

Deputy manager Claire Jones said: “It went really well, the children sung some songs for the residents and gave them a big basket full of food.

“The children really enjoyed it and the residents were joining in and singing along as well.

“We are very proud it is nice to reach out to the local community.”
