Railway staff to wear body cameras to combat aggressive fare dodgers

Bromsgrove Editorial 10th Dec, 2015 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016   0

TICKET inspectors working on the area’s railways will soon be wearing body cameras to monitor situations involving fare dodgers.

It is hoped the devices, which will effectively be mobile CCTV cameras, will improve the safety of customers and employees, including London Midland’s revenue protection and security team.

They will also be used to gather evidence against fare dodgers, abusive customers and those being anti-social.

This scheme is being launched by London Midland at its premises in the West Midlands, Crewe and Milton Keynes.
