YOUNGSTERS going to Webbs in the next week will have piles of pumpkins to carve their way through as part of one of several activities organised in the run up to Halloween.

More than 1,500 of the orange balls have been delivered for the annual workshops which run from 11am to 4pm from Monday to Friday (October 24 to 31).

Children will be able to put on an apron and take part in the activity for £4.99, with the price including a pumpkin and battery tea light. Tickets can be purchased on the day.

Other activities include face-painting, fairground rides and a fun trail through the Riverside Gardens, with correct entries being entered into a prize draw.

Chairman Ed Webb said: “We have piles of pumpkins ready and waiting as the workshops are always very popular.

“The youngsters can’t wait to get stuck in and have something creative to show at the end of it.”
