PRIMROSE mascot Trevor the Dog got to have a look around a fire engine when it came to the hospice on Tuesday (August 4).
Kind-hearted firefighters brought the appliance to the venue for the morning so Trevor and a group of children, who are being helped by the family support service, could have a fun morning with the engine.
The youngsters are receiving specialist support from the hospice’s children’s and family worker, as they are losing, or have lost a loved one, often a parent.
The event was held to coincide with ‘Test It’ Tuesday and Primrose’s weekly #TrevorTuesday feature and even CEO Helen Garfield got in on the act and posed with the firefighters.
The hospice shares a weekly picture of Trevor’s adventures in the hospice every Tuesday, on their Facebook and Twitter pages.
To follow #TrevorTuesday, just ‘like’ Primrose Hospice on Facebook or follow @PrimroseHospice on Twitter.
Those who do will also get all the latest news and stories from the hospice.
‘Test It’ Tuesday is a national Fire Service campaign to remind people to test their smoke alarms, which are vital in saving lives in a fire.
