Primrose choir to hold VE day concert

Bromsgrove Editorial 7th Jun, 2015 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016   0

A VE Day concert will be given by the Primrose Choir to help residents in Bromsgrove and Redditch with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

The event, at Redditch Town Hall at 7pm on June 19, will celebrate 70 years of peace following that momentous day in 1945.

It will feature popular songs from the era, well-known wartime favourites for the audience to sing along to, along with extracts from the musicals.

Studley St Marys RC School Choir will be performing The Jonah Man Jazz and songs from The Jungle Book and there are also surprise guests that the choir is remaining tight-lipped about.

Tickets, at just £9, are available by calling 01527 67383 or 01527 546158.

There will also be a limited number of tickets available at the Town Hall on the night.

The Primrose Choir will also be performing at Redditch Bandstand next Saturday (June 13) at 12.30pm and at the Sanders Park Jubilee Bandstand at 2.30pm on June 21, along with other choirs.

The choir practices every Wednesday evening and is available for a range of events.

New members are always welcome – call the numbers above for more
