POWER tools and construction materials were stolen when a house in Bromsgrove which was being refurbished was burgled.

The incident took place between Wednesday afternoon (February 24) and Thursday morning (February 25) when the raiders gained access to the property via a window.

Among the power tools taken were a a Wickes flat bed sander, 9ins Makita circular saw, Bosch plainer, JCB jigsaw and Makita cordless drill.

Another attempt to enter the same property between the same afternoon and morning was also made by smashing a small window at the side of the home but they were unsuccessful that time.

Anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The property was empty at the time because of the refurbishment and the nature of the incidents has prompted police to issue a warning to builders and developers not to leave anything of any value which could be easily taken.
