TWO CYCLISTS on a gruelling 462-mile charity bike ride across the UK stopped off to ‘refuel’ at Bromsgrove’s Slug and Lettuce.

Chad and Damien from the Milton Keynes Slug and Lettuce were en route up north as part of the fund-raiser for the Breast Cancer charity.

The pair, dubbed the Powerpuff Boys, were wearing pink socks, tops and tutus, in keeping with the Breast Cancer theme.

Bromsgrove’s Slug and Lettuce general manager Carl Haytree said: “We were very happy to welcome them to Bromsgrove on the second day of their mountainous challenge.

“We gave them breakfast and wished them well.”

The pair are visiting Slug and Lettuce pubs across the Midlands and are hoping their ride will raise £1,250 for the cause.

After Bromsgrove, they headed to Derby, via Harborne, Solihull and Birmingham.
