CLASSCAL music lovers will be in for a treat at 8pm next Friday (February 27) when the renowned Fidelio Piano Trio plays Artrix.
The show, organised by Bromsgrove Concerts, opens with a piece by Faure, and closes with an arrangement for piano trio of a classic of late romanticism ‘Transfigured Night’ by Schoenberg which was written originally for a string sextet.
The concert will also feature pieces from two living Scottish composers, Alasdair Nicolson and Judith Weir who recently became Master of the Queen’s Music.
The Fidelio Trio is made up of violinist Darragh Morgan, cellist Robin Michael and Mary Dullea on piano.
Tickets are £17 (£3 concessions – registered disabled, unemployed or full time student over 25).
Subscription and Rover tickets are also available and young people under 25 are admitted free to all concerts thanks to the Cavatina Chamber Music Trust.
