A LAPTOP, tablet computer and bottles of spirits were stolen after a burglary at Bromsgrove’s Hop Pole pub.

The incident happened between 11.50pm on Wednesday (September 9) and 9am on Thursday (September 10).

The burglars entered the pub via a ground floor bathroom window, walked into the bar area and took the electrical items.

They then entered the unlocked cellar and stole an unknown number of bottled spirits.

It comes just two days after hundreds of pounds were stolen from The Grove pub on Bromsgrove High Street after that was broken into between Sunday night (September 6) and Monday morning (September 7).

The thieves also got in through the back of the pub and the money was taken from two gaming machines, a pool table, tills and cash boxes. Two men were seen in the area at the time.

Following the incidents, police officers have stepped up patrols in and around Bromsgrove Town Centre.

Anyone who witnessed either of the incidents or anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
