Police seek eye-witnesses following a hit and run in Lydiate Ash

POLICE are looking for witnesses after a cyclist was seriously injured in a possible hit and run in Lydiate Ash on Sunday, (April 24).

The man, in his 40s, was riding along the Alvechurch Highway at about 7.30am when officers believe he was involved in a collision and was knocked off his bike.

The victim is currently in critical condition in hospital and police are now on the hunt for anyone who may have seen the incident or the vehicle.

Insp Helen Wain said: “We would like to hear from any members in the public who were in the Lydiate Ash area yesterday morning ( April 24) and may have witnessed the collision, or seen any vehicles acting suspiciously.




“If anyone does have information, we would urge them to contact police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident reference number 567s of Sunday. (April 24).”
