PARENTS across Bromsgrove District are being warned to ensure their children are safe after three girls were followed by four men in a car.

The incident happened at 8pm yesterday evening (Sunday) as the trio, aged between 11 and 12, walked along St Kenelms Road, Romsley, after playing in a local park.

A black Audi pulled alongside them and as they walked away from it, the vehicle followed them.

The three went into the Sun pub to get help as they felt scared.

The men were all in their 20s. Three were white and one was black.

The driver was a white man with brown short messy hair and a goatee beard. He wore a black long sleeved top with black baggy trousers – he was seen vaping on an e-cigarette.

Following the incident, the police have stepped up patrols in the area and officers investigating the incident are currently studying CCTV pictures.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “There could be an innocent explanation for this vehicle being in the area and if this was you driving, we would ask you to contact us.”

He also urged any witnesses or anyone with any information to call 101, quoting the log number 763S 020815 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
