POLICE have made an urgent appeal after medication was stolen during a burglary in Halesowen Road, Lydiate Ash.

During the raid, which took place between 5.45pm and 7.45pm on Thursday (November 29), six or seven boxes of tramadol were stolen and each one contained 30 tablets.

The pills can have serious side effects if they are taken by someone they are not prescribed for.

The offenders forced entry into the property and also stole a jewellery set containing a necklace of pearls, a matching bracelet and matching earrings, which was of great sentimental value.

Police are urging anyone who finds the tablets not to take them, but to call police on 101 or hand them in at their nearest police station.

Anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
