POLICE are hunting three youths who were seen on Callow Bridge in Rubery, throwing stones at moving cars.

The incident took place at 7.30pm on Monday (May 11) on the bridge above the busy A38.

Damage was caused the the paintwork of a blue Audi, which was travelling along the bypass towards Longbridge at the time.

But, officers warned, the situation could have been a lot more severe and caused serious injury to drivers and passengers if the cars hit had lost control.

“This reckless, stupid behaviour resulted in damage to the car but could have had much more serious implications,” added a West Mercia Police spokesperson.

The youths were seen on CCTV footage running off towards New Road in Rubery.

Parents are also being urged to speak to their children about the implications of such acts in a bid to stop incidents like this from happening again in the future.

Any witnesses or anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Burling at Rubery Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
