POLICE in Bromsgrove are hunting the owner of a dog which bit a boy in Catshill.

The incident, involving the large animal, took place at 6.30pm on Tuesday (June 7)

The boy was riding his bike along Blake Road when he passed a woman with a large dog on a lead which was being walked in the opposite direction.

As he rode past, the dog bit him on the leg causing a small puncture mark to his calf.

The woman was in her late 30s to early 40s and the dog was a large golden breed, possibly a labrador.

Witnesses or anyone with any information should call police on 101.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “Although the boy was not seriously hurt we would like to find out who the dog belongs to as this could have been a more serious injury and there is a possibility the dog could attack again.”
