POLICE are hunting a man believed to have carried out an assault at a sports club in Hagley.

The incident happened on May 28 (Saturday) at the Old Halesonians Rugby Club, Wassell Grove.

Police were called to the club at 10.08pm after reports of a 23-year-old man being assaulted.

The physical attack took place between 9.50pm and 10.50pm and, following that, it is believed two other men – aged 22 and 34 – were also assaulted.

The injuries sustained were minor and did not require hospital treatment.

The suspect was white, in his 20s, about 5ft 11ins tall, of slim build, with hair that was cropped short on the sides and left long on top. He also had a beard and he was wearing a red check shirt, black skinny jeans and possibility white and black trainers.

The alleged attacker was removed from the premises by staff and was seen leaving the club with a woman.

A number of enquires have taken place but police officers have so far been unsuccessful in piecing together what happened.
