Police hunt witnesses to Hollywood robbery

POLICE are on the hunt for witnesses after a shop in Hollywood was robbed on Wednesday (May 18).

A member of staff at the store, on Drakes Cross Parade, felt pressure against his back at about 9.50pm and he turned around he saw the robber holding a blunt weapon.

He demanded the shop assistant open the tills and after he explained he did not have the keys the offender forced his way into them and stole cash from inside.

This gave the staff member time to go to the back of the shop and call the police.




He left the store with the money and headed to Alcester Road on foot towards the Maypole.

he was a mixed race man, about 6ft and of a slim build. he wore a navy blue hooded top, navy blue jogging bottoms, black trainer and a black hat and scarf on his head and face.


Police believe he entered the store from the directions of Sawhurst Lane.
