THERE was plenty of egg-cellent Easter entertainment at Bromsgrove’s Avoncroft Museum from Good Friday to Easter Monday.
More than 1,000 visitors went along to the venue over the four days to take part in egg rolling, egg and spoon races, making Easter chick necklaces and circus skills with The Fool Monty.
The Easter Bunny handed out chocolate eggs and youngsters were also able to take part in the Roald Dahl trail which challenged participants to fill in the names of the author’s popular characters and complete images of them when they found their pictures dotted about the museum.
There were also train rides from the Bromsgrove Society of Engineers, the chance to have a go at archery, the opportunity to go inside the historic windmill, an Easter service in the Bringsty Chapel and musical performances by band Chuck Harriet.
Museum director Simon Carter said: “Despite the threat of a dreadful bank holiday weekend weatherwise, the crowds came along and we were pleasantly surprised at the number of people we had through the doors.
“Most days had at least some sunshine for visitors to enjoy.”
