THE ORGANISERS of this year’s successful Bromsgrove Festival have already started planning next year’s event.
The 2014 extravaganza was held over five weeks for the first time and featured a multitude of more than 80 events.
It included live theatre, stage plays and musicals, concerts, poetry evenings, acoustic open mic cafes, the Bromsgrove Folk Festival and more.
A spokesperson for the festival committee said members had received some very positive feedback.
“Although there may be subtle changes, the main aim is still to demonstrate the wealth of talent in all genres that exists within the Bromsgrove area.
“This does not mean, of course, that national and international artists will not also feature.
“This year’s Festival represented a turning point and, with a new benchmark from which to work, the festival committee, as well as the event organisers are looking to make 2015 even better.”
Those wanting to organise events, even if the details are not finalised, are being urged to apply now to ensure their dates and venues are included in the programme and ultimately in the festival brochure.
Information can be submitted to [email protected].
It is hoped that by reference to the website programme that some of the date duplication experienced at this year’s festival can be avoided.
The ongoing 2015 programme will be first published at www.bromsgrovefestival.co.uk in the coming weeks.
