A PIONEERING college which trains military hopefuls in Frankley will find out today if it has won the special ‘Training Provider of the Year’ award.

The Motivational Preparation College for Training (MPCT) has been chosen as one of seven finalists for the Prestigious TES Further Education awards 2016.

MPCT is run by ex-military instructors and is free to attend, thanks to Government funding.

It provides people with the best possible chance to pass selection for the Armed Forces.

The college also helps young people move forward with further education, training and other employment routes.

Huw Lewis MBE, founder and managing director, said: “It continues to be my privilege to witness young people make the very difficult transition from childhood to adulthood and develop into positive, productive role models in their own right.”

The winners of the TES FE Awards will be revealed today at a glittering ceremony hosted by stand-up comic Shappi Khorsandi at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
