A PHOTOGRAPHIC exhibition to celebrate International Nurses’ Day went on display yesterday (Thursday) at the The Royal Orthopedic Hospital in Northfield.

The hospital and the Cavell Nurses’ Trust charity have joined forces to showcase a number of different pictures of nurses at work and play.

Redditch-based charity Cavell Nurses Trust supports healthcare workers experiencing financial or personal hardship, and have assisted the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in producing the exhibition.

Simon Knighton, Cavell Nurses’ Trust chairman says: “The exhibition shows us the person behind the professional.

“It’s our privilege to be here for nurses when they’re facing hardship so, if possible, they can get back to the job and the life they love.”

The exhibition, which is open to the public, runs until next Friday (May 20).

Garry Marsh, Director of Nursing and Governance at ROH says: “We’re always keen to celebrate our staff and the photography exhibition is a great way to do this.”

Those interested in seeing the snapshots can view them on the hospital website www.roh.nhs.uk/nurses-day or in the Outpatients’ Department.
