ANIMAL lovers from across the district can Paws for Tea, do a sponsored walk or sell their unwanted gifts at a car boot sale – all happening tomorrow (Saturday) at Bromsgrove’s  Blue Cross.

Paws for Tea, from 10am to 3pm, will see visitors given a cup of tea and a slice of cake in return for donations to the charity to help it carry on its work caring for homeless dogs and cats.

Visitors can also take part in the centre’s annual sponsored dog walk where there is a shorter mile-long walk (for younger children and those with disabilities) and a longer one of 4.5miles for those wanting more of a challenge.

People can donate £5 on the day or collect sponsor forms from the centre.

All dogs taking part receive a certificate, rosette and goodie bag.

This year’s car boot sales programme also kicks off tomorrow from 9am until midday and then every second Saturday throughout the summer.

It costs £5 per car or £10 per van/trailer.

Residents can visit www.bluecross.org.uk/teaparty to register their own Paws for Tea event, call 0300 777 1460 or email bromsgrove@bluecross.org.uk for more.
