PARENTS have been warned to be on the look out after a group of girls were followed by four men in a Black Audi in Romsley.

Police have now stepped up patrols after the incident, which took place on Sunday (August 2) about 8pm.

Three girls, aged between 11 and 14-years-old, were walking along St Kenelms Road after playing in a nearby park when the vehicle began to follow them slowly. Feeling scared, they went into the Sun pub to seek assistance.

Three of the men, who were all believed to be in their 20s, were white and the other was black.

The girls said the driver was white with brown short messy hair, had a goatee beard and was wearing a black long sleeved top with black baggy trousers. He was also seen smoking a vapor cigarette.

A West Mercia Police spokesman said at no point did any of the men approach or try to talk to the girls.

Police are currently reviewing the CCTV in the area.

The spokesman said: “There could be an innocent explanation for this vehicle being in the area and if this was you driving, you are asked to contact police.”

Anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
