YOUNGSTERS looking to do something out of the ordinary can look forward to the opening of a new play area, which boasts a double 30m zip wire and tripod tyre swing.
Bromsgrove District Council has used cash from planning developments to build a unique play area that will provide plenty of enjoyment for youngsters on their school summer holidays and beyond.
As well as the adventurous new equipment, a new concrete skate park also has been installed on the Hagley playing fields. The project cost the council around £80,000 and a £5,000 contribution was made by Hagley Parish Council.
Bromsgrove District Councillor Rod Laight, whose portfolio includes leisure, said:
“We are very proud of our play areas in Bromsgrove and this latest improvement provides a brilliant start to the summer holidays.
“I am sure this exciting equipment will be enjoyed by everyone from across the district.”
