THE M5 motorway will be closed overnight between Junction 4a (for the M42) and Junction 5 (Droitwich) on Tuesday and Wednesday (April 19 and 20).
Both the north and south carriageways will be shut from 9pm to 6am as work is carried out to install brand new road sign holders along the stretch of the motorway.
Traffic will be diverted via the A38.
The installation of new road sign holders forms part of the new Smart Motorway Scheme which will see the hard shoulders between junctions 4a and 6 converted into lanes for traffic.
Work along this stretch of the M5 began in January 2016 and is scheduled for competition in November this year.
