A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital after being involved in a crash with a tractor in Frankley yesterday evening (Monday).
The incident happened on Church Hill about 5.30pm and led to the man, who was in his 30s, suffering injuries to his head, chest and leg.
After receiving emergency treatment at the scene, his condition was stabilised and he was then taken by ambulance to the QE.
The doctor travelled on-board the ambulance, continuing the man’s treatment with paramedics and the hospital was pre-alerted about his arrivals.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman confirmed an ambulance, a paramedic officer, a BASICS Doctor and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene.
He received further emergency treatment when he got to hospital.
