A MOTORCYCLIST sustained serious leg injuries in a crash in Bromsgrove last night.
The incident, involving a man in his 20s, took place around 12midnight on the Stourbridge Road in Catshill.
West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed an ambulance, two paramedic officers and the Trust’s MERIT team attended the scene and the rider, who had come off his bike, was given emergency treatment at the scene for suspected multiple fractures and lacerations to his legs, along with a hand injury.
Once his condition had been stabilised, he was taken by ambulance to the Major Trauma Unit at Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said the hospital had been pre-alerted to the man’s arrival and the severity of his injuries.
