STUDENTS from Bromsgrove’s Stage Door Dance Academy had a visit from Miss Worcestershire Laura Beth Morgan who returned to the group where she was a student from the age of four.

During her visit the Belbroughton beauty queen chatted with the students about all the projects and events she had been involved in over the last few months while representing the county.

Principal Martina Ponsonby said she was grateful for Laura taking time out of her hectic schedule to meet the students.

“She even gave students to chance to try on her crown – the younger students particularly enjoyed this.”

Martina added it was particularly good for those heading to university in September, particularly those studying performing arts and contemporary dance, as Laura also spoke about her experiences in the theatre and film industry.

Laura herself did not leave the Stage Door Dance Academy until she went to performing arts college and then university.

“Many of our senior graduates were juniors at the time but they remember Laura fondly and she has kept in touch with us over the years.

“She is a great ambassador for the Miss England charity ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ and I know she has raised a considerable amount of money to help the campaign aid disadvantaged children around the world,” added Martina.
