A BROMSGROVE man has been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm after an assault in the town’s Grapevine pub about 10.45pm on May 3.
The 34-year-old victim was punched in the face and fell, striking his head, leaving him with serious head injuries.
He needed surgery at Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital for a fractured skull, a fractured eye socket and blood clot on the brain.
Although he was in a critical condition, he is now recovering.
The 43-year-old man who has been charged in connection with the attack will appear at Redditch Magistrates Court on June 17.
