A BROMSGROVE pub is launching a new laughter-packed comedy night this Friday (February 19).
The Boat and Railway in Stoke Prior is planning to run a regular evening of stand-up comedy, every month using comedians from Bromsgrove and beyond.
Local comedian Trevor Oakes will take to the stage for the opening event, along with the hilarious Darren Mortiboy who generated loads of laughs when he performed at the pub in September.
Then, comedy giant Patrick Draper will strut his stuff with a blend of musical mayhem and dry one-liners.
The event has been organised by pub landlord Dan Willis and local comedian and poet Theo Theobald.
Dan said: “We dabbled with comedy last year and were encouraged by the response from local people, now we’re planning a monthly gig using the best talent around.”
Theo added: “This area is deserves a top quality, regular comedy night and that’s what we’re aiming to provide.
“There’s nothing like a great night out with friends that’s full of laughs.”
Tickets for the gig on Friday are £7 and are available in advance from the Boat and Railway, Shaw Lane, Stoke Prior, or on the door.
