RAIL USERS should check before they travel over Christmas and New Year as reduced timetables will be operating.
On Christmas Eve, there will be fewer London Midland services in the afternoon and there will be no trains on Christmas Day or Boxing Day.
From December 29 to December 31, there will also be fewer services and, on New Year’s Day, most London Midland services will run a Sunday timetable.
A normal Saturday timetable will run on January 2.
Between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, customers with Off-Peak and Off-Peak Day tickets will be allowed to travel in the evening peak during this period. Morning restrictions will still apply.
On Monday 28 December & New Year’s Day (bank holidays), all Off-Peak and Off-Peak Day tickets will be valid on any train for the journey stated on the ticket.
Restrictions will remain in place for tickets marked ‘London Midland Only’ (Off-Peak, Super Off-Peak and Advance) during the Christmas period.
