RESIDENTS from a Bromsgrove’s Breme Care Home have been placing wishes on a special tree as part of their latest activity.

Three-year-old Rose Houghton, daughter of Rebecca Rudge, the home’s deputy manager, came dressed as a fairy to sprinkle some magic dust on the wishes.

Activities leader Helen Barron said it was a wonderful and thought-provoking activity for residents.

“They absolutely loved doing this and spent the afternoon talking about it and telling each other about their wishes.

“Little Rose was amazing – she went around shaking her magic wand and held the residents’ hands. We are going to try to add wishes to the tree every week and fulfil as many as we can.”

Resident David Hunt, who is 78 years old said he wished he could help people at the home as much as they had helped him.

“I have never had so much kindness.”

Breme Care Home, Providence Road, will also hold two community events each week.

On Wednesdays between 11am and 1.30pm there will be a coffee morning and on Thursdays from 11am to midday, there will be a gentle exercise class.
