ONE of the most entertaining and compelling performers on the international acoustic circuit will be taking to the stage at Bromsgrove Folk Club.
The Catshill Club show at 8pm on Thursday (May 14) will be one of only four dates that Kristina Olsen performs in the UK.
Kristina, who is an award-winning songwriter with a ‘big bluesy voice’, will be arriving at the venue via America, Australia and Canada.
She is a superb multi-instrumentalist who can play acoustic guitar, steel-body slide guitar, saxophone, concertina, banjo, mandolin and piano.
She performs a variety of songs – from sassy bottleneck blues and lilting ballads to swing jazz and raunch and roll.
Kristina, who was born in San Francisco and grew up in the 1960s, also throws in some hilarious storytelling.
She will be supported by the club’s popular resident band Fairfield.
