A KIND-HEARTED Bromsgrove girl had her long locks chopped so they could be made into wigs for young cancer patients to wear.
Seren Holdsworth, who is eight and goes to Meadows First School, had the deed done by Denise Lesley Hair and Beauty, Worcester Road.
As well as donating the hair, she also raised more than £650 for the cause.
Seren has always had long hair and never wanted to have it cut, then recently she said she would llike it trimmed before her upcoming holiday.
But then, within hours of booking the appointment, she decided she wanted it short so it could be donated to the Little Princess Trust so children who had lost their hair through cancer treatment could have hair again.
Her mum Elizabeth said: “I was astounded, my little girl had offered to do the most unselfish act I think any child could do.
“To top it all whilst we were in the hairdressers another little girl (named Victoria) decided to donate her hair too. It was so lovely.
“Afterwards Seren turned to me as I told her I was so proud and she simply said ‘If my hair makes another child as happy as its made me then its worth it’.
“She truly is an inspiration – I could not be more proud.”
