THE STORY of a little bird who wanted to know more about Christmas was the subject of the festive play put on by children from Jellybabies Nursery and Pre-School.

All 26 of the youngsters performed brilliantly in front of parents, carers, grandparents, aunties, uncles and friends.

The show – in a packed Longbridge Methodist Church – featured a nativity, along with traditional songs and rhymes.

Afterwards, the families enjoyed refreshments in the Coffee Pot cafe and the parents and carers then joined the children in making a variety of Christmas crafts, such as cards, edible snowmen, glitter snow pictures.

Nursery manager Jacqueline Walker said: “This really was a fun enjoyable family event where more than 70 people from the local community came together to celebrate Christmas.”
