MORE THAN £3,500 worth items have been stolen from a home in Rednal during an overnight break-in.

The raider forced entry by breaking the lock of a garage door at the property on Pine Grove between 11am on October 17 and 10am on October 18.

The burglar stole two carbon framed push bikes worth £1,700 each, along with construction materials, including a boiler, kitchen and bathroom fittings and cupboards, two bike locks and accessories.

The rare bikes, one of which is German-made, were secured to a metal stand which was also taken. Police said nothing was left behind.

The victim did not have CCTV and their neighbours did not hear or see anything. The owner is now trying to locate serial numbers for the stolen items.

Police have urged anyone with any information to call them on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
