AN ITALIAN market will be heading to Bromsgrove Town Centre tomorrow (Saturday).
The Piazza Food Market, featuring a variety of Italian items, were due to be on the High Street today but problems with refrigeration lorries has meant traders are unable to sell meats and cheese and there is only bread on offer today.
The market will be back to its full range tomorrow from 9am.
Italia in Piazza claims to be the only market of its kind in the country, bringing what organisers call ‘real Italian food, made in Italy, right to your neighbourhoods.’
Giacomo from the panini stall said: “Wherever I go my customers return to buy my sausages and arancini.
“In Bromsgrove I will also have pizzas and calzones with different fillings.”
Lorenzo from the cheese stall added: “I love sharing my passion of Italian cheeses with my customers and look forward to coming to Bromsgrove.
“I always bring new and exciting cheeses as well as the popular ones and am happy to suggest recipes which would go well with my products.”
Bromsgrove District Council leader Coun Margaret Sherrey said: “We’re excited for this new specialist market and we hope to have more in the future too.”
