RESIDENTS in Bromsgrove and Droitwich can find out more about their local libraries and adult learning programmes at events being held in the two towns.
The first information morning will be held from 10am to midday on Tuesday (August 30) at Bromsgrove Library and then, a week on Wednesday (September 7), a similar event will be held at Droitwich Library, also from 10am to midday.
As well as getting to talk to library staff and adult learning specialists to find out more about community learning and what is available, visitors will also be able to put forward ideas for courses they would like to see in the future.
There will also be the chance for participants to undertake a practical drop-in workshop which will see them create an item of jewellery in just five minutes.
Coun Lucy Hodgson, cabinet member with responsibility for localism and communities, said whether people were looking to develop skills, learn new ones or meet new people she would certainly recommend the courses.
She added there were many benefits to the sessions, such as employment, ICT and digital media, creative and artistic courses, languages and health-improvement.
