A LOCAL housing provider for the over-55’s has been shortlisted for this year’s 50+ Awards.

Hanover Housing Association has estates at sites across Worcestershire, including Bromsgrove, and manages no less than 600 locations across the UK.

It’s one of six organisations in the running for the category of Best 50+ Housing Provider.

The awards, which are also known as ‘The Goldies’ – focus on the contribution of individuals, projects, organisations and technologies which have excelled over the past 12 months.

They are based solely on internet nominations and the votes of those who are over 50 years of age.

Regional director Diane Jamieson said: “This is a reflection of the quality and dedication of the Hanover team, as well as our commitment to improve the services to residents.

“We have a long history of supporting those wishing to have independent, active and fulfilling lives in the Worcestershire, so are thrilled to be nominated for the award.”

The top three nominees in each category will be short-listed in June and voting will continue until the winner is announced at at the London Olympia Exhibition Centre on 10 July.
