CHILDREN’S author Alan MacDonald, famous for writing Dirty Bertie and Oi, Cave Boy, will be at Avoncroft Museum for a special night time event.

The venue will be joining in with the national cultural ‘Museums at Night’ from 7pm next Saturday to the Sunday (May 17 to 18).

Residents are invited to pitch up their tents and participate in reading and fun activities with Alan.

There will also be costumed characters in Avoncroft’s historic buildings, a midnight feast in the Guesten Hall and stargazing with Bromsgrove including Astronomical Society.

Booking is essential as pitches will not be available on the day.

Pitches cost £25 per four-person tent and gates will open at 5.30pm to give people time to set up.
