Hats off to a very important date in Northfield

YOUNGSTERS had to make sure they were not late when they were invited to a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at Northfield Shopping Centre.

Those who went along got to meet the Mad Hatter himself, along with Alice in Wonderland and the White Rabbit.

Youngsters flocked to the event from all over south Birmingham – from Rednal and Longbridge to Northfield, Weoley Castle and even further afield.

Leanne O’Connor, 30, from Northfield, took along her two six-year-old children Abigail and Joshua.

She said it was a brilliant way to beat the boredom, especially as it was free.

Northfield Shopping Centre manager Pete Barber said the children’s activity clubs were always very popular with youngsters and the Mad Hatter’s Party was no exception.

“We understand that it’s not easy to find things for children to do that are free, fun and close to hand, which is why we arranged this event for the school Easter holidays.”
