A BROMSGROVE youngster with learning disabilities has had his quality of life improved thanks to Bromsgrove Rotary Club which has donated a specially adapted trike to him.

Because of 14-year-old Harry Colson’s condition, he is unable to ride a regular bike.

He had years of enjoyment from his previous purpose built trike but he outgrew it.

The new one will allow Harry and his family to continue to have days out with the added bonus they will be able to ride together.

Harry’s dad Andrew Colson said: “Without the Rotary Club it would have been extremely difficult to have purchased the trike and we would have missed out on this important family activity.

“A big thank you to the Rotary Club.”

Tony Docherty, the Rotary Club president, said: “One of the wonderful things about being in an organisation like this is the happiness we can bring to people.

“This was particularly evident when we presented Harry with his new tricycle – the look of joy and excitement on his face as he rode around the park made it a very special day for us all.”
