RUBERY Drama Group will be back later this month with the hilarious farce ‘The Happiest Days of your Life’.

Performances of the play by John Dighton will take place at 7.30pm at Beacon Church Centre, Whetty Lane, from Thursday (October 22) to next Saturday (October 24).

The piece is set in 1948 and centres around Hilary Hall School for boys after the war. All is well until a letter arrives stating another school returning from evacuation has found its buildings unhabitable and Hilary Hall will have to takle some pupils from there.

They assume it is another boys school but they are about to be surprised.

The group first produced this play in 1982, so members are revisiting an old favourite.

The current production is directed by Bob Sawyer who also directed the piece in 1982.

Tickets, at £7 (£6 concessions) are available by calling 0121 453 8733 and 0121 445 2323.
