THE ORGANISERS of the Timberhonger 10K, now in it’s 13th year, is looking for more runners to take part.
It is being held on July 11 as part of the Bromsgrove Carnival weekend and all profits will be donated to local charities, such as the Basement Project which last year received a cheque for £1,000.
The Timberhonger, which kicks off at 6pm, is open to all members of the public.
A 1,500m Children’s Challenge is also being held for children aged 14 or under at 4pm, with trophies being awarded for both boy and girl runners across three age categories.
Among the entrants in the Children’s Challenge will be scouts from the Finstall Group who will be doing it as part of their Fitness Challenge badge.
Mark Graham, race organiser and scout leader, said: “The scouts have done brilliantly – its fantastic to see.”
