A FUND-RAISING afternoon is being held at LG Harris and Co in memory of their long-standing employee Michael Thompson who passed away earlier this year.
The event, which will feature a bouncy castle, five-a-side football tournament, raffle, face-painting, cake stall, barbecue and more, takes place at the company’s headquarters in Stoke Prior from 2pm next Saturday (June 11).
Michael, 65, who worked for the firm for 40 years, died in March when he was involved in a crash with a lorry while he was cycling to work.
The cash raised will be shared between the road safety charity Brake and the Midlands Air Ambulance.
