THERE will be fun for all the family this Sunday (July 3) when the Aston Fields Summer Fete and Car Boot Sale takes place at Bromsgrove Cricket, Hockey and Tennis Club.
The event, now in its eighth year, will run from 11am to 4pm and promises to be bigger and better than ever, with more than 50 stalls, attractions, live music and games. Admission is free.
Children’s activities will take place throughout the day and adults can browse the car boot sale.
There will also be hockey matches played on the club’s brand new state-of-the-art astro-turf pitch with tournaments involving the badgers (12 to 18 years) and senior teams taking place throughout the day.
Among the refreshments available will be a barbecue, a pig roast, lots of sweets and treats and a licensed bar.
And there will be live music from Andy Thomas who will entertain visitors with covers of rock classics past and present.
Anyone thinking of having a good clear out can have a car boot sale pitch for £5 each. Sellers will have access to the site from 9am onwards and there is no need to pre-book, they can just turn up on the morning.
Organiser Paul Munn said: “The fete is a great day out for the local community and everyone is welcome.
“There’s so much to see and do and it’s also a great chance to see the sports and facilities on offer at the club.”
