Freaky fun for all the family in Northfield

THERE was plenty of Halloween-themed freaky fun for all the family at Northfield Shopping Centre.

Werewolves, zombies, a host of Draculas and a coven of princess witches took over the centre last Friday (October 31), while creepy craft sessions, a trick or treat treasure hunt and a monster mash-up were also held.

Jo Ewart of Flamingo Entertainments, who was in charge, said there was a wonderful atmosphere and it was great to see so many smiling faces.

“Lots of children came dressed in their costumes ready to go trick or treating and wanted their faces painted.

“We just couldn’t keep up with demand.”

She added the parents had really enjoyed it too.

“We have even painted the faces of a few mummies – not Egyptian mummies – the mums of children.”

Northfield Shopping Centre manager Pete Barber said: “It has certainly been an extraordinarily busy day and families and children have had a great day.”
